         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Teachers:</strong> 3 years classroom experience minimum and must be ESL certified.<br><br><strong>Length of Instruction:</strong> 1 Hour a Day<br><br><strong>Format:</strong> 1:6 Teacher/Student Ratio, Teaches students to read and comprehend current Unit Vocabulary words in English, Helps students write papers by writing in Native Language and then translating to English, provides instructions written on the board on top of instruction with visuals, have picture dictionaries accessible to children, use technology to improve English skills and lastly and most importantly embrace their native language; promotes a group work culture where mistakes are embraced and children feel comfortable to try and learn.<br><br><strong>Purpose:</strong> Develop proficiency in listening, speaking, reading and writing the English language and to integrate the use of the English language with subject related material to help increase performance in reading, math, science and social studies.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

The downfall comes when you allow yourself or your students to become dependent on it for communication. Try to steer clear of that.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</li><li><strong><em>Use Multiple Modalities </em></strong><br>Include writing, speaking, drawing and listening in your lesson plans.</li><li><strong><em>Teach Language Skills Along With Curriculum<br></em></strong>This helps children build a deep and intellectual understanding to the English words and apply them in all classroom settings.</li><li><strong><em>Have High Expectations For All Students</em></strong><br>Don't water down content. Find a way for students to show what they know.</li></ul>]]></description>
