Adam Lanzo was believed to have a mental illness.
Adam shot his mother while she was asleep and took the three guns in the house at the time.
The school earliert that year made a secerity system that made visitors buzz in after 9:30 A.M.
He went to the school a little after the security system locked the door. he had to get in the school by shooting his way in. 
first classroom he went into he shot all students in there (fourteen students).
