Given a real-world application involving two linear scenarios, the student will be able to describe the scenario in words, a graph, and equations. The student will also be able to apply the information to develop words, a graph, and equations to the same scenario from an alternative provided perspective.

Specific Objectives

1. Recall definition of linear function.

2. Identify rate of change and initial value from a graph and an equation.

3. Identify ordered pairs.

4. Recall slope is rate, m, and rise over run. Recall y-intercept is initial value, b, and (0,y).

5. Generate a graph based on equation.

6. With at least 83.3% accuracy, interpret contextual interpretation of rate of change and initial value from a graph and an equation.

7. Interpret contextual interpretation of intersection of two linear equations.

8. Construct a linear function from a graph.
