My teaching philosophy revolves around the way I was brought up and taught. The first reason behind my teaching philosophy revolves around respect. The second reason is building personal relations with students and their families. The third reason is meeting the learning needs of all students.

I believe that by teaching students about respect, it does not only benefit them during school time but it will benefit them outside of school and for the rest of their lives. Teaching students respect I believe that it will teach them about respecting the views of others and also being open to other cultures as well.

Within my teaching philosophy I believe that students’ success not only depends on the teacher but it involves the students’ guardians to create a cohesive team. If student have support at home then the student should be successful at school. I believe that if student’s guardians are actively involved in their student’s lives then they will do well in school.

Another part to my teaching philosophy has to do with meeting all of their learning needs. As a teacher I will implement a variety of techniques and methods in order for the students to meet both their academic goals and personal goals outside and in school.

The last part of my beliefs about teaching philosophy is the implementation of real life usage to every content area. Students learn more when the content area relates to their daily lives. The use of manipulatives during certain content areas not only benefit certain students but students as a whole, because it gives a one to one correspondence to a variety of problems.

In summary, I believe that implementing my teaching philosophies into my future classroom will be hard but it will be doable since I believe in myself and my competence to teach them but I also believe in the students that I will have. My future students will be able to accomplish that and more, because I will provide a safe environment for them where they will be able to be successful.
