You will be able to enjoy a wide selection of authentic Singapore dish like Chicken Rice, Roti Prata, Hokkien Mee etc. As there are hundreds of food stalls selling cheap delicious local cuisines, we can go around and sample different variety of tasty food without spending much money! Imagine the numerous amount of different variety of delicious food we'll get to try out there! Isn't it exciting? I think it is quite difficult to find Singapore's local food in Australia. That's why i think you will like to come to Maxwell Food Centre! You will be able to know more of Singapore's culture by tasting local food. Sounds like a great idea isn't it?

Haw Par Villa also has free guided tours that provide an immersive lesson on Chinese values. Haw Par Villa also has a lot of cool and interesting statues that we can take photographs of for memory’s sake!

I would also recommend for us to visit Kampong glam because we can learn a lot about the Malay culture there. Kampong glam is home to singapore's biggest mosque, the Masjid Sultan, and the Malay heritage center, which has nine galleries showcasing Malay history and culture. To be honest, as a chinese myself, i don't really know much about the malay culture, so going there would benefit the both of us as we can learn together. Other than that, there are a lot of street art and art at Arab street so we can take many instagram-worthy photos for memory sake ! Kampong glam is also framed for priced Lebanese, Turkish and Egyptian restaurants, and if you like these restaurants, you can go there during your free time ! Instead of knowing about the Malay culture from websites or teachers, we will get a first hand experience to understand the Malay culture by going to this place!

The first place I would like to recommend for us to go to will be the Kampong Glam. Let me share some interesting information about the Kampong Glam that I found out with you. The Kampong Glam is one of Singapore’s most popular tourist hotspot, and it really lives up to its name. You will be surprised to see that the Malay Heritage Centre located in Kampong Glam has nine different galleries! It showcases the Malay history and culture, which I think that both of us will enjoy learning about very much. You mentioned that you would like to learn more about Singapore’s culture, and why not start with the Malay culture? Singapore is a multi-racial country, meaning that the Singapore culture is made up of different kinds of cultures including the Malay culture. After a walk through the nine galleries, we can head down the street and go to any restaurant of your choice. The restaurants there are famous for Middle Eastern cuisine, which I think that you will find scrumptious. I bet there aren’t much Middle Eastern restaurants back in Australia. the restaurants are also filled with many reasonable priced Lebanese, Turkish and Egyptian dishes!

One place I think we can both visit is the Maxwell Food Center which has been operating since 1928. It was known as Maxwell Market at first. Maxwell food Center offers a huge variety of Singapore’s local cuisine made form scratch such as Hainanese Chicken 🐓 Rice or carrot 🥕 cake. You will be spoilt for choice! In addition, a good, delicious meal will not cost more than $5! It’s a tourist hotspot and also a few minutes’ walk form Chinatown. Other than butting unit sweet or savoury foods, you would get to learn more about Singapore’s unique culture. One of Singapore’s most famous hawker culture is “Chope”- your brain is probably racking through what that means. Well, it is when Singaporean out their tissue packets on their seats as a form of reservation. Here is a little fact about hawkers in Singapore. Hawker dishes originated form the food cultures of different immigrant groups who settled in Singapore previously! Personally, I love the Tian Tian Hainanese Chicken Rice, Roti Prata🫓 and many more! Concurrently, we can share our thoughts on how we have been doing recently. Are you ready to explore more about the local hawker culture with me?

Has Par Villa was a actually home to over 1000 statues about Chinese folk tales, myths, and Confucian beliefs! I think that this would be enjoyable as we will get to walk around and look at the different statues that are not found in Australia. Further more, the free guided tours will provide us an immersive lesson on Chinese values and folk tales. I’m sure that you will find it very interesting and mesmerizing. Both of us will be able to gain more knowledge about the Chinese folk tales, beliefs, myths and more! We will also experience and learn more about asian history culture and religion and i hope that from this experience, you will learn more about Singapore’s culture in Haw Par Villa.

The first place I wish to bring you to is Maxwell Food Centre because I know that u love eating and the food there is very delicious! Maxwell Food Centre is a food centre that has over w hundred food stalls selling food at very affordable prices. There are two popular food stalls in Maxwell Food Centre that I feel that you will be interested in. The first stall is Jin Hua fish soup. This stall has been in operation for twenty years already and a bowl of fish soup still only cost $4. Fish soup in Singapore is also very famous. The second stall which I think you may get be interested in is the Ye Lai Xiang Tasty Barbecue stall. It is a western food stall and a plate of chicken cutlet only cost $8. It contains a huge slab of crunchy and fragrant chicken cutlet, a side of mixed vegetables, crinkle-cut fries, and a fluffy sweet bun. I think one of the benefits of visiting Maxwell Food Centre is that we will get to learn about Singapore's most unique hawker culture. For instance, Singaporeans reserve seats by putting tissue packets on the tables. Can you think ad any other counties that does that? Another benefit is that we can bond with each other and have a deeper relationship with each other by spending time together while trying out different varieties of food from different cultures!
