The Cavern Club really had an importance on how the group will shape out. The Beatles definitely had a "Bubblegum" feel with simple beats and lyrics. Buddy Holly, Elvis Presley, and Chuck Berry influenced the Beatles significantly. With the performance at the Cavern Club in Liverpool the also met their manager Brian Epstein. Brian made the Beatles look like a team with suites and made sure they had exposure. Decca Records had a chance to sign the Beatles but rejected them and they were signed by EMI Parlophone. The Beatles talented producer was George Martin. Some #1 hits in the UK were Please Please Me. The Beatles would only come to America if they had a #1 hit in the US and the song that did that was "I Want To Hold Your Hand." Their appearance on the Ed Sullivan show was important because the whole nation was watching.
