Hello, my name is Adela and I am a primary school teacher at Hôrky in Slovakia. I truly enjoy guiding young learners in their journey od discovery and growth. At our school we focus on providing enviroment where students can develop their creativity, critical thinking and collaboration skills. I have a group of very excited 13-years old students joining us for this project.

As part of the European Day of Languages, our students prepared various creative activities to celebrate linguistic and cultural diversity. We were happy to welcome students from Slovenia, who joined us during their one-week mobility visit. Together, they participated in language games and cultural workshops. Four of our students also created a short multilingual video to showcase the beauty of different languages.

The students of Class 2.B took part in the preparations for our eTwinning workshop – they enthusiastically made chef hats for the older students from Class 8.A.
The girls from 8.A then cooked delicious Italian dishes, while the younger pupils helped with decorations and creative crafts.
It was a wonderful example of teamwork, creativity, and cooperation between classes

The students of Class 4.B also took part in the preparations for our World Food Workshop.
They showed great creativity while making colorful decorations and Italian flags in the colors of green, white, and red.
Their work added a wonderful festive atmosphere to our international eTwinning project.

Bryndzové Halušky are Slovakia's national dish - pillowy little potato dumplings covered in a favourite Slovak cheese and lots of bacon. Pure comfort food, mac & cheese style. The dumplings are quick and easy to make in your kitchen with a few simple adaptations and taste great made with feta instead of the traditional bryndza cheese.

Older generations used to call them "parance" or "paráky." In Slovakia, they are usually served with poppy seeds and sugar or cocoa, and filled with plum jam. They cooked over steam so that they stay soft and fluffy. The biggest steamed bun was made in the Czech Republic– it weighed more than 5 kilograms. In Slovakia, there are even restaurants that specialize only in steamed buns. Even though there are many modern desserts today, steamed buns remain a classic loved by all generations.

During our workshop, we looked back at everything we created together throughout the eTwinning Life Skills project. Students shared the most important life skill they gained from the project and expressed what they are grateful for. Our “Thank You Wall” was filled with messages of gratitude, teamwork, friendship, creativity, and unforgettable experiences. The project showed us that life skills help us grow not only at school, but also in everyday life. 💙
