- These quotes must be precise and accurate. - utilize unique introductions and correct parenthetical citations. - This assignment will be worked out throughout multiple weeks; the due date will move along with Check Points. -Refer to the Schoology directions for each Check Point's requirements.

Sydney is a rude and aggressive man. He asks Darnay, "Do you think I particularly like you?” (Dickens 73). Darnay answers saying that he didn't think about it. Sydney forcefully says, “But ask yourself the question now” (73). After a bit, Sydney says, “I don’t think I do” (73). This is very rude to tell a person in the face. Then, he even tells Darney that he has a "sober face" (74).

Sydney is a drunk that cares about nothing but wine. He shows this in a depressive and agressive tone when he says, “Nothing in life! ... Do you call the whole reckoning? ... bring me another pint of this same wine, drawer, and come and wake me at ten” (Dickens 73-4). The surprising part is that he knows it. He admits to Darnay that he is "a disappointed drudge" (74). He later says, "I care for no man on earth, and no man on earth cares for me” (74).
