Will your vision be possible due to covid? How do you plan to connect richardsonians and approach the covid 19 situation given that house often hosts mass events!

It is true that most of House's activities are cancelled or postponed due to COVID-19, but what is most important is that we look out for your well-being, and bring in support from the community, for the community. That way, we can bring people closer together at heart, and that would keep the house spirit ignited in us. I hope that when people look back on 2021, they would not just think of the pandemic, but also the people who've supported them throughout the year!

How do you intend to hear the voices of other Richardsonians and how do you intend to involve House comm?

The voices of Richardsonians are so important in shaping the Richardson that I hope we can call home, so I hope to receive regular feedback from richardsonians through debrief activities or perhaps in the form tinyurl.com/richardsonreport created by welfare, where richardsonians can post their feedback!

I hope to involve House Comm by giving them the space to develop their leadership skills through hard skills, like planning executing and facilitating, but also listen to their wonderful ideas and work with them to create awesome initiatives! I hope that House comm is able to have a meaningful leadership experience in Richardson!

What do you aim to do differently from what has currently been put out?

Currently, I feel that Richardson has not actively reached out to richardsonians, so I hope to do so by checking in with everyone, and see how they are doing in this pandemic. I hope to connect with you in a more personal way and not just in a mass way by having small chats for little but soothing conversations.

I've also mentioned in my speech about have little traditions to be passed down, so not only could we bring back some safe initiatives that were discontinued due to COIVD-19 and bringing back the old spirit, but also some new initiatives adapted to the COVID-19 situation in order to ignite the new house spirit (like some iconic instagram post for everyone to laugh and talk about)!

Your vision seems tailored to bonding and connection, so how do you plan to bond different batches of richardsonians?

It is important for the Y3 and Y4 batches to connect with the Y1 and Y2 batches, especially since they are the batches that have experienced what House was like with the pandemic, so I hope to do so through small little chats and with platforms like the mass mails and instagram for the Y3s and Y4s to share their stories, as well as for the Y1 and Y2 batches to share their worries. They can even do fun activities together, like house practices, so the upper secondary students could relive the times back in Y1, and have fun!

Do you work well under pressure? pls share your experiences =)!

I think I can only work under pressure ;-; If I have little things to do, I would prefer not to do them and let it all pile up before "chionging" it :)))
But these days my procrastination skills has been upgrading, so I usually have a schedule with all the things i need to do in the day, and will work as close to my schedule as possible in order to complete all my tasks! Maybe I did not complete one or two tasks for the day, but I will not pull myself down because of that :) I would even go on silent calls with my friends to motivate myself!

What sets you apart from the other candidates?

I think what sets me apart is not just my vision of creating memories through supporting, which reaches out to richardsonians the closest, but also the way I work and lead my peers to bring in fun initiatives!

I have taken the mbti test too many times, and the results I always get is a split percentage between thinking and feeling (But i would say im closer to enfj)

You seem to be a very people-centred person! how would you balance this with being task-oriented?

I take into consideration my peers' thoughts and opinions in the decisions we make, but I will also think of the situation objectively and deliver my thoughts in a open-minded way. When interacting with my team, I would seem to be more cheerful and fun, but I do expect tasks to be of high standard from not just myself, but from the team as well. Those who know me, you can see my fun side when I'm with my team starting out meetings in a fun way and making a few jokes over the hour, and my serious side more when I do work alone and when the time is getting tighter.

Why do you think working as a team works for you best?

I cherish the opinions, thoughts and ideas of my teammates, and without them, I would not know where or how to start.

“Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much.”

I prefer to incorporate everyone's ideas into the initiatives we plan because everyone's ideas combined would be a better idea! I also seek the agreement of people on decisions we make because I hope that it is in the best interest of richardsonians, and I see others in my team as people representing the community.

You say that you're a creative person and want to think of new ways to make richardson better. how would you balance this with keeping up the old traditions?

Old traditions are great in keeping the house spirit ignited, but due to COVID-19, some or most can't be done anymore :( so that's where the new ideas come in, to improve on our old initiatives and make them even more awesome, like making them digital! Even more, we can bring in new ideas that are adapted to the COVID-19 situation, and can be continued even after COVID-19! All of this is to support you, no matter how physically apart we are :)
