The Metallist subculture appeared in the UK in the end 70’s and fast became worldwide. This subculture is similar to Punks, Goths and especially Bikers.

The Metallist’s main ideas is exhibition of force, manliness and brutality and disconnection from the mainstream society. There is also cultivation of individualism, cultivation of the inner world, the disavowal of capitalism’s dogmas and intolerance to other subcultures (except bikers, goths and punks).

The attire is similar to Biker’s one: leather black jackets full of metal spikes, leather bands, jeans and leather gloves.

But the main thing is the music. Based on classic music, metal and its variations (they are at least 20) is heavy, bass-booted music. The themes of songs are different and depend on the type of metal: it may be death in death-metal or battles and wars in Sabaton’s heavy power metal.

The Renaissance era

The Renaissance era took place between the 14th and the 17th centuries. It was
known as a "rebirth" following the
Middle Ages. The Renaissance was truly
the time for art, literature, and philosophy to shine. History stated, "Some of the greatest thinkers, authors, states men, scientists, and artists in human history thrived during this era."

When it comes to fashion during the
Renaissance period, there were laws
that regulated who wore what.
Clothing depended on the class system,
certain styles and materials could
only be afforded by the wealthy,
and the lower class wore fabrics
like linen derived from the flax
plant, wool or sheepskin, the fabrics
worn by the the upper class included "silk velvet and brocade". The basic styles from this era for women were gowns with light bodices, and full skirts down to the ankles. These gowns restricted movement for the wealthy women , but lower class
wore looser corsets since they were
servants and needed freedom for mouvement.

I could take a lengthy amount of time to dress for the day for an upper class women. They would start by putting on a shift which is precisely a loosen linen smock worn to protect the gown, the stockings , finally a petticoat to fill and in the gown and keep you warm. Nowadays, we typically know men to be quick when dressing, but in, the Renaissance era, they look just long of a time to get dressed. There are layers to this --- and it starts with on Tupper class men putting shirt with no collar or cuffs, a doublet, which is a long-sleeve garment, then lastly, a jerkin which is a sleeveless jacket. Men needed to keep their modesty too, so they were stockings along with knee-length trousers.

Casual style by Gavriil

Today, I will present you the most popular and common fashion of the 21st century: the Casual. I'll start by presenting casual fashion's story, after I will show, how this style is different to other ones. I will also focus my presentation on the advantages of the casual steet-style clothing.

This fashion appeared in the 1950s and 1960s among representatives of the Teddy Boys subculture. Teddy boys is mainly British youth subculture, which inspired by dandy's style in an Edwardian period. This subculture is strongly associated with rock-n-roll music. Even after 70 years it's fashionable, so we can say it's a timeless classic.

The casual style is characterized by the rejection of the formality of business clothing and combinations of, at first glance, arbitrary, clothing items from manufacturing companies in one image are practiced. Even that "casual" could be translated as "sloppy" or "everyday", its basis is a structure based on the absence of slovenliness.

The casual representatives wear drape jackets, pipe-cut trousers and white collared shirts as their usual clothes. Casual gives incredible comfort, so it's very common in the world. It has few different varietes:
- business-casual
- smart-casual
- all-out-casual
- street-casual
- sport-casual

This style described clothes from 1920s to 1990s. During the World War II textiles like wool were used in WW1 and was needed for uniforms. It has been part of the world as an idea of reusing clothes because of the textile shortage. Vintage clothes allows buyers to be their own designers because they can choose different styles from secondhand clothes. People being part of the Vintage fashion style in general wore flapper dresses, t-strap shoes, fedoras in 1980s and for example birkin bags, flare jeans in 1970s.

The rave subculture was born 1980s within a group of young people that loved techno music. Rave parties were lasting all night long and featured extremely loud techno, EDM, acid house music and a lot of dancing.

Ravers dressed in flashy skin-tight clothes and neon-colored accessories. Some also wore baggy sweaters and sportswear, coats, matching pants, and loafers.

As rave was an underground subculture, many only know about it’s stereotypical portrayal of crazy parties and drug use.

In fact, it all started in the late 1980s in the UK when acid houses were shut down by law enforcement and people started throwing rave parties, concerts and festivals. Eventually, raves became more mainstream and drug use diminished.

Ravers made their subculture stand apart from other subcultures by forming a community around what actually happens at the rave. Peace, Love, Unity, Respect (PLUR) was an ideology in the rave culture that promoted a “safe” sense to the community during the raves. Essentially, PLUR acted as the set of principles ravers were expected to follow. These principles include treating fellow ravers with respect by not giving them drugs they did not want, showing love to fellow ravers and abstaining from fighting during the raves, and overall ensuring the safety of ravers.

Now raves are known for their colorfulness and extremely crowded festivals.
