Who: There were many people involved in the Civil Rights movement for African Americans but I would have to say the most important and known people were Martin Luther King, Rosa Parks, and Malcolm X.
When: There were a few very important dates in Martin Luther King's life including the day he gave his most famous, "I have a dream" speech which took place on August 28th, 1963. Another being the day he got assassinated April 4th, 1968.
Where: Martin Luther King gave his "I have a dream" speech at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington DC. He was assassinated supposedly by Lee Harvey Oswald in Memphis.
What: Martin Luther King was a civil rights activist who stood for equality of not just African Americans but all people no matter their race or gender.
Why: Martin Luther King's why behind becoming a Civil Rights activist was that he saw the horrible things African Americans and he himself had been going through and he decided to be someone who would stand up and hopefully make a difference in American despite all the conflict.
