Lawyers have incomes well above the notational median salary. As lawmakers, thought leaders and change agents, lawyers are in a unique position to affect societal change. For centuries, lawyers have stood at the center of society; they write the laws, rule the courts and hold influential positions in government. In these roles, lawyers are able to impact top policy makers and leaders and affect change around the globe. Lawyers are autonomous and have the ability to make their own hours, set their own fees and choose their own clients and practice areas. The job has an inherent flexibility that allows lawyers to attend to personal matters or spend a day away from the office if needed. I also want to become a lawyer because along with these benefits I also gain job satisfaction because along with these benefits I am also able to think about challenging and tricky problems without ever even knowing whether there is a correct answer. Essentially there are only 2 types of lawyers; those that work for our government, and those that work privately.  I want to become a private lawyer because then I could continuously measure my improvement based on the number of companies/person who would want to hire me as their personal lawyer. Being a lawyer is also an extremely secure job because even if you are fired from a firm they have no ability to suspend your practices as a lawyer and you will still be able to practice law. There are lot of fringe benefits offered by huge law firms such as seats on huge sporting events. Not only that, if a lawyer shows good career prospects many firms would provide extremely early promotions and wages would increase exponentially. 
Lawyers are able to take extremely flexible holiday plans as they plan their own meetings and hearings. The working conditions are as extremely good as most lawyers have ample working space.
