People starving, the food was "rubbish" , and their was shortage of clothing or anything to go around.The government watched everyone and if people commited a crime they will go to labor camps or will go missing with no record of their existance. The government has brainwashed everyone into beliveing anything the party says. Every year people must attend a pep rally called 2 minutes of Hate, where they scream at the "enemies" of Oceania. They enforce people to have their television on for constant propaganda and has constant survalleince on everyone. They also create new words known as "newspeak" and made new words like "doublethink" or "thoughtcrime".
