This handsome man is Aristotle. Although he was a student of Plato, they disagreed on almost everything. He developed a school, the Lyceum, where many of his ideas about life were taught.

-This movie excerpt best represents Aristotle's teachings because it shows Aristotle himself educating his students, rather than a narrator simply discussing his beliefs. Also, only his core beliefs are expressed in this video, which emphasizes what Aristotle cared about most. It is clear that he had much love and pride for his country of Greece. He shared his core values with people of a young age in the hope that they would grow up and be advocates of his values.

His followers would no longer be limited by mythological prohibitions., because he introduced the importance of thought and reason. The Lyceum also impacted Greek society because it enforced his ideas about life. His ideas influenced people to try to achieve moral and intellectual virtue, therefore the people of Greece were inspired to do good deeds. Aristotle was knowledgeable in multiple subjects, such as biology, math, and politics, so was able to teach and expand the knowledge of those in Greek society. Being a philosopher, he influenced many of the ideas that Greek people had been learning, bringing about change and new ideas among society.

In America today, there is much corruption found in the government and in relationships between people. Aristotle preached moral virtue, so if his ideas were prevalent today, there would possibly be less corruption. Also, Aristotle believed that laws and education were necessary. Therefore, more people would be educated, leading to a better, stronger government. Aristotle was very concerned with human happiness, and in US society, many people are unhappy. With his ideals alive today, he would make a great impact on the government, education, and happiness of America.
