         <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>Website</strong>: <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="http://prodigygame.com">prodigygame.com</a></p><p><strong>Summary</strong>: Prodigy Math is a game-based learning platform designed to make math practice engaging and more fun. Students solve math problems in a fantasy-based role-playing game environment. The platform adapts to individual skill levels, ensuring that each student progresses at their own pace, so the students are not discouraged if they don’t understand something as rapidly as the others.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Use in Classroom</strong>: I would use Prodigy to reinforce math concepts in a fun way, assigning it as a supplement to lessons or as a reward at the end of class if the students have been attentive enough (for example). It is an excellent tool for mixed-ability classrooms, like the ones with more than one academic level.</p>]]></description>

It also offers teachers the opportunity to assign personalized activities&nbsp; and track their individual&nbsp; progress.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>Classroom Use: </p><p>I would use Khan Academy to help students learn at their own pace:</p><p>• <strong>Extra Practice</strong>: Students can watch videos and do exercises to review what we learned in class, like fractions or multiplication.</p><p>• <strong>Extra Help</strong>: Students who need more support can go over lessons step-by-step to build their skills.</p><p>• <strong>Challenges</strong>: Advanced students can explore harder topics, like coding or advanced math.</p>]]></description>

The simulations are designed to visually demonstrate topics that can be difficult to grasp at first (more abstract-like) such as gravity, energy transfer, and chemical reactions in an accessible way.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Use in Classroom</strong>: I would use PhET simulations to provide hands-on learning experiences during science lessons, especially when lab resources are limited. I feel like most of the time, science is too much about theory and does not balance well with practice. For example, the “Balancing Chemical Equations” simulation could help students grasp stoichiometry by allowing them to manipulate variables and see real-time results with different substances.</p>]]></description>

It is really helpful for new teachers and can guide them toward adressing sensitive topics, etc.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Use in Classroom</strong>: I would use Edutopia for continuous professional development, learning new strategies to engage students, and staying updated on the latest educational trends. Teachers always need to update themselves as through generations, learning changes (due to mentalities, new norms, change of technologies, etc). For instance, I could apply their project-based learning tips to create more hands-on experiences for my students.</p>]]></description>
