         <description><![CDATA[<p>During the process of planning my first lesson plan, I needed the lesson to span over two days due to a couple of chapters needing to be sent home as homework. I was unsure how to construct the lesson: should I just plan the first day and not elaborate on the continuation of the lesson plan? However, upon further questioning, I was told that I could just label my days in the lesson plan box: day one and day two. Doing so allowed me to showcase the whole lesson instead of breaking it up into two different lesson plans.          <description><![CDATA[<p>During this semester, I have realized that writing learning objectives is not just stating things the students will learn from the lesson being taught. Each Learning Objective must be specific and measurable- along with other means of how the objective will be obtained and other criteria. However, the biggest 'Ah-Ha' moment came from learning how to be specific and measurable when stating the learning objectives. Upon looking at sample LO, I was so confident I could write my own- easily- but that was not the case. It took clever wording and details. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Being able to construct lesson plans is a huge element of teaching. It helps one stay organized and prepared while also allowing teachers to express detailed thoughts about the lesson. I learned that simply planning the lesson is not too bad, but when I am asked to elaborate on the material, presentation and so on, about the lesson, I have to express my thoughts and reasoning behind doing things the way I did. This deepens my knowledge and allows me to be conscious about the choices I make when planning a lesson. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>I was able to express my thoughts and understanding about the ideas and reasons behind using UDL in the classroom. Posting this video with a question at the end allowed me to receive feedback and an answer to my question. I was unsure if there was a specific deadline for when a lesson becomes teacher-centered instead of student-centered. I learned that students need to be engaged and take the lead in the conversation and activities so if a teacher is not allowing or encouraging discussion, groups, etc. it is not student-centered as much. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Even after learning about UDL, I was still a bit confused about how to incorporate it into my lessons. I struggled to create the Differentiation boxes in my lesson plan until I clicked on the blue UDL Link, this website showed me how to break it down and gave a better idea about how to use UDL. Once I clicked on the website it gave the sections and elements of each UDL, from there I was able to click on whichever method I was using, and it gave examples of how to use it.          <description><![CDATA[<p>Knowing how to use UDLs and why to use them, ensures that each student is allowed to succeed in the learning style that best fits their needs AND strengths. As teachers, we are not there to point out and scold a child for their weaknesses, we are there to scaffold, support, and encourage their learning by giving them all possible routes to learning.
