Both of these are terrible conditions Type I includes the B cells in the pancreas which do not produce insulin, and Type II the body cells fail to respond to the insulin that is produced. There causes are different type I could be autoimmune disease at birth, and type II a myriad of reasons mostly weigh and diet. Both are treated differently type I with insulin injections and tpe II following a healthy diet, taking excercise and losing weight.

The causes of type II diabetes are not fully understood but there is a strong correlation of risk with weight and diet. High levels of fatty acids in the blood may be a factor causing the condition and people whose diets are high in fat but low in fibre seem to be most at risk. Obesity, associated with a lack of exercise or a genetic makeup that influences fat metabolism, is a key factor.
