Gandhi once said''an eye for an eye only makes the whole world blind'' which proves

when Cole hurt Peter and Peter hurt Cole back, it didn't solve anything so violence didn't

help the situation. At the beginning of the story Cole was very violent and at the end 

of the book when he was calmer he realized how peaceful life was. He felt different,

he stopped using violence to solve his problems.

I think Cole might wish himself out of this life of crime situation. Like, do you want to be jailed all your life? I think that Cole doesn't want to be. 

But, I hope that Cole wishes for his parents to come back together. Some things are better off together than they are apart. Like the ingredients to a cake. They make a very good cake together than they are apart.

Either wishes are good, because they both do benefit Cole and his life. What do you think he would and should wish for?

At first, when Cole went to the island, he thought this was an easy way out of a jail cell. Little did he know he was wrong. Cole was about to die when he noticed the world was a great, beautiful place. Since then, he treated people differently, nicely. He had a smile on his face, didn't intent to hurt anyone and tried to stay out of jail.

To conclude, I think the main theme is that you can change even when you are turning bad.

Or when he though spirit bear was fake when then after a while on his adventure he sees spirit bear. Then after seeing spirit bear whenever he would see him/she again he would try to kill it. And that part when he ate that mouse when it was alive that was the most discussing part.

a better relationship with people so they can be friends because cole 

now does not mean to hurt him like that it was just because he was 

very angry at peter .What i will hope that cole will wish for is that he can have 

a better relationship with his parent because he does not like his parents 

and his family but i will want cole to have a better life from before his parent

got all mad at him that is what I will hope for .

I think he would wish for he had no criminal record that would mean he never did crime because he regrets himself doing crime that got him into lots of trouble.

I would wish for his parents to not be divorced because I sure if his parents were not divorced Cole would not be in trouble in the life of crime.

The first item I would give Cole to bring to space would be his big knife because it always comes in handy in his adventures.

And the other item would be the at.oow because Peter might be worried for Cole going into space so he would give it to him on his voyage

think before you do. like when Cole was steeling if he would just

stop and think what he is doing he will stop and say hey that's

bad i should stop and think why would i do this. Or when Cole beating

up peter and hitting peter head on the side walk if he will just stop and

think why would i do this it is bad and very mean oh maybe i should stop and 

think .That is what i think the authors message is to think before you do .

One thing that I will pack for Peter Driscal is a survival knife. Now, you're probably thinking "Why does Peter need a survival knife? He's going to OUTER SPACE!" Well, he can use the survival knife to cut food, or pry open a circuit if it busts and he needs to fix it.

The second item that Peter will be getting is the spirit bear fur. Cole might want to give Peter something that Cole can be remembered by when Pete is in space doing 360's with low gravity.

 I never would expect Cole to burn down his cabin and all the supplies in it. I found that scene very interesting and intense. There are also other intense scenes like when Cole got mauled by the spirit bear. Those scenes make me want to read on forever.

 I also enjoy when Garvey and Edwin give Cole life lessons, but Cole never understands them. Just like when Garvey gave all the ingredients of a cake to Cole to eat separately and said '' all the ingredients of the cake taste great together but horrible alone''.

I also think it is interesting how Cole thinks he can defeat anything in the beginning of the book but near the end, after touching the spirit bear, Cole realizes that he can't.Over all I am enjoyed all the elements of the book.
