My name is Denisse Mosqueda and I will be an elementary school teacher. My favorite subjects are History and English, I would not mind teaching either if I decided to pursue single subject teaching at a middle or high school. I believe every student is capable of learning anything. Some students learn things differently than others. As educators, it is our responsibility to find/create ways to help our students succeed in areas where they fall behind and encourage their desire to grow/learn.

Professional Objective/Goal

My main goal in education is to help others help themselves. I want to help create opportunities for those with limited options. So far, I have been working mainly with migrant students and English Language Learners. Their success in school has brought me joy and their desire to learn is very inspiring!

I am currently a CSU Monterey Bay student! I major in Liberal Studies and am pursuing my multiple-subject teaching credential. I transferred from Hartnell College. I plan on pursuing my Masters in the future as well, likely at CSUMB.

My personal philosophy of teaching is that failures are lessons to learn from. I want to encourage my students to not be afraid of failure. "Fear kills more dreams than failure ever will." I don't want my students to regret a chance they did not take.
