The got troops from India and promised they would slowly give them more power over their congress in return.&nbsp;After the war the British enforced more oppressive laws and didn't let up, adding more and more to these laws as time passed.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>A large protest led by Gandhi in which people walked to the Arabian sea coast, a 240 mile walk. It lasted 24 days and was in protest of the salt tax placed by the British. Gandhi went from 100 followers at the start to 50,000 when he ended the protest, at Dharasana protestors were attacked. By the end of the protest, 60,000 people were arrested. </div>]]></description>
