To be radically content is a unique phrase. You wouldn’t necessarily think of the word content being associated with this word radical. But, I relate it similarly to the word reckless. God has reckless love for us. He will chase after us and leave the others behind. He isn’t afraid of the consequences that could come with that. He just wants us. To be radical is a position of authority similarly to how God is with us in his reckless love. God is giving us this authority to be set apart from the world and to completely change how we view and act in our lives. To be radically content means to advocate for a positive change in your life where you are not focused on everyone around you but being content in the season of life that you are in. Where you don’t feel jealous or bitter that someone in a different season has something that you desire or want. To be radically content is making peace with the pains of life whether in the past or present and throwing them into the sea of forgetfulness never to be hurt by them again. To be radically content is not loving process of change but letting it break you and your flesh nature down so God can really show you what he wants for you, and not letting that process change your character.

Being radically content means to be in a state of satisfaction and peacefulness with yourself and your life despite what others may say. It means that you are in a place in which you have genuine joy from within and you are confident in the knowledge you are being your best self, not anyone else’s version.

To be radically content is to opt out of what society has conditioned you to think you should be. We should strive to be who God wants us to be, not what the world says we should be. Do what makes you happy, not what makes others happy.

To be radically content, well, well. My answer is to be as Paul said in the Bible to be content in what ever situation we find ourselves in, more importantly to seek joy instead of seeking happiness as your primary focus. We all know that happiness is circumstantial; whereas JOY and Contentment comes from knowing who you truly are, accepting who you are and live your life to the fullest, despite the world definition.
