Unfortunately none of these businesses replied. I think that emailing businesses is an outdated form of contact and more in person or calling is better. For the next JQLates I will focus more on contacting businesses this way to get them involved.

campaigns for JQ Lates with focuses on the individual businesses. As I had not set up the instagram account nor was it my account it was a difficult to manipulate the settings to my will. For example scheduling posts was unavailable because it was not a business account, the drafts would not save so I wasted my time creating the drafts but I also had to keep going back to my bank of posts.

Additionally some of the businesses had only given Stryx minimal information or links to their websites where there was no further information.

I then made my way to every event apart from the RBSA Gallery because I didn't have enough time and their event had ended, I knew there would be a photographer there because it was one of the most publicised events and it was a photography event.

I felt that there needed to be more sign posts towards each event from the street as some were very hard to find. We had ordered lights for the event however they had not come in time and the businesses did not collect their A1 signs, although this had not communicated by Stryx or JQ Lates.

Since the first event Stryx have offered me a paid role and I would use this role to coordinate more of the event as this is where my skills lie and there is more of the team at Stryx wanting to work in Social Media Marketing.

I also believe word of mouth is an incredibly effective marketing tool, one of the places taking part has over 460 people at their disposal to come to the event and market it to their friends. This business had been signed up since the initial talks about JQ Lates so there was no reason for there to be a lack of people there, when I asked the students if the staff had mentioned it there was a resounding 'no.' I feel that despite this being the inaugural event more could have been done of their behalf.

In terms of marketing we have set a deadline for sign ups to ensure we can include everyone in the marketing online. Additionally the Stryx website will be updated with JQ Lates information and listings. In terms of other feedback there needs to be more time taken to set up the events and have stock taken of everything and where it is for ease of access.

I've had no responses yet but by my next session at Stryx, I might have some. If I haven't I will use my time at Stryx to go to each business and help entice them to join in.

I felt that this was really interesting because it was an in depth interview about event management.

  However I received negative responses from all.

• The first one was about work placement and how to find it. I was recommended all of the placement availability for the Arts, Design and Media faculty, however, I found that not many of these placement opportunities weren't relevant for me. Therefore I didn't find this as useful as others because the roles I was looking for is quite specific and unique.

• The second meeting I had was to work on my LinkedIn profile and how to network using LinkedIn. I have since being rejected from Castle Fine Art found someone to connect with the works there.

I have also started making posts to promote each event for Stryx on their cafe account. However I have a lack of images for the posts. I find it difficult to promote an event for children if most of the time these events aren't photographed to protect the children's privacy.

The event name was unclear in my opinion 'Create your own Flower Bouquet Collage Workshop' and I think this is why the event wasn't as popular as the previous event. Additionally the ticket prices had gone up and only included one cocktail compared to the previous two. The event also used found materials such as magazines, colouring books and leaflets so the price increase didn't make sense to me

Ivy and Rose Gifts also stayed open late in addition to the cancelled event and did do a fair amount of sales.

Rock and Roll Brewhouse then had a band playing after SOJ which worked out well because there was a large number of students in the bar.

The band playing thanked JQ Lates which opened up a discussion about JQ Lates to an audience who were perhaps only there for the music or the bar.

I used my time at Rock and Rollbrewhouse to take pictures and videos to use on social media.

Because these events aren't my project I feel that in a group setting my voice isn't heard.

The Stryx events include a specially curated cocktail however, with lavender featuring so heavily in the promotional imaging this would have been better to match the promotional images to the actual images from the event.

I also created there map with all the listings to link to all the social media accounts and posters. However, one of the businesses isn't on Google maps so I had to just use their address which could be misleading.

Overseeing Stryx's events for each edition of JQ Lates.

Although I used to work in a team fairly regularly I am no longer used to it and would rather be in charge. To fill this gap I would work in leadership roles but as part of a wider team with my major project.

I already had event management skills and curatorial skills however, I further cemented those skills. I have learnt a lot about social media management especially as a new skill. I gained skills to do with taking care of vunerable members of the public such as children and elderly people. I became a problem solver when it came to working around issues, for example when the childcare didn't arrive for the stay and play event I stepped in to set up and run the sensory activities for the children.

These skills will help me in my future career because I want to be either an events manager or a curator however, dealing with the public is useful in any career but especially events management because they will be my clients, therefore source of income. Social Media Management will aid my business in the future because I can be my own social media marketing team. Additionally, problem solving can help with both curation and event management by helping see the answers that no one else on my team can see.
