It takes a toll on you, and it always knocks you down. but you need to keep trying. when I was 10 I went to bed feeling content with my life. but I woke up with a shaken world. My stepmom died. it made me feel empty, but I filled myself with positivity and held strong.

How does this relate to the theme?

This relates to the theme because of the emotional trauma that the moment caused. I was too young to understand but as I got older, I began to wonder why they split. I asked them both why but they only said one of the two reasons. that was because of religious beliefs. But they never told me the second reason, so I thought it was me.
Even though that was not it.
