Try this: 1) Look for something at Unsplash.com 2) Take a photo of something you found in a magazine, brochure, etc 3) Use the Google search feature in Padlet to find and share an interesting photo that way.

I see many things happening in this picture: people drinking, people shopping, lots of signs I don't understand and a few that I can read. Why is everybody wearing shades of the same color? People seem to be going about their own business. When my late husband and I were in Germany we did lots of window shopping. It was fun to see what kinds of things were for sale and how much they cost. The pictures of food remind me that in Germany most restaurants closed mid day. One day we were so hungry that we bought a whole rotisserie chicken and nearly devoured it. The picture makes me feel nostalgic for times in the past. I also feel like I'd want to wear a red shirt just so I could express myself. Nice shade of green, but what's up?

The picture not so clear! Camping it been one of my favorite thing to do, always adventure activity, there also bonfire at night, lots of talking, laughing, singing, playing some card game. always fun to stay out overnight in the tent.

This picture is something that I experience quite often. Many
travelers come to my little town and stop by the local market or shops. I see
them experience new foods and treats while they roam the streets and like in
the picture, they take selfies, and pictures to reminisce on their experience
later. Some might be annoyed by “non-locals” who take pictures in the streets,
but I find myself feeling delighted that travelers would enjoy my little home town
so much that they immerse themselves in the food, culture, and people; and then
want to capture their experience with a photo.

I see a busy beach with people enjoying the sun. The sky is blue with just a few clouds. The ocean looks calm and inviting and I can almost smell the suntan lotion. People are socking up the sun, sleeping, talking, relaxing in the shade of an umbrella. There are people swimming and sailing and water skiing. I have done every one of these activities many times in my life. I lived in Florida for 12 years, had a boat, skied, and laid on many beaches. This picture reminds me of when my children were young, the hard work it took to enjoy a day on the beach but the immense joy we all had while doing it. The picture makes me feel melancholy. Day gone by, kids grown on my way to Indonesia and a new life.

1. I see a lot of people enjoying the fair. I see some kids on the merry-go-round/carousel and others on the ferris wheel.
2. They're hanging out at the fair and going on rides, perhaps taking their kids to enjoy the fun. They're probably doing this because it's a fun summer activity and it's something that only happens once a year.
3. Yes, I've been to the county fair in my hometown! I used to go a lot when I was a kid. The carousel was definitely a favorite of mine when I was really little. As I got older, I went on more of the faster, scarier rides!
4. This picture reminds me of childhood. It makes me think of cotton candy, corn dogs and fun with my family and friends.
5. When I look at this picture I feel nostalgic. I feel happy and I can almost feel my stomach hurt from some of those spinning rides.

The Boston Marathon

I was doing a speaking test last week, and used a (different) Boston Marathon photo for the test. I was curious what would happen. The student looked at it and said: "is that Porter Square?"
It was not, but I was impressed that I was testing someone who really KNOWS our neighborhood, and was able to deduce from his question that he has vocabulary to build his question. When testing, take loads of mental notes about the organic chatter that your Ss make between questions, especially if they are outward processors.

In this picture I see many people having picnics on the grass in a park. There is smoke, so I think some people are cooking food. I also see one bicycle, a building full of window and above the trees I see a crane.

This picture reminds me of the time I lived in San Francisco and walked to a near by park with my friend; it was an oasis of green in the middle of a very busy city

I feel a little nervous looking at this picture because there are lots of areas of smoke but I cannot quite see where the smoke is coming from. I also probably feel nervous because that day I visited the park in San Francisco there was a man who kept walking around yelling crazy words!

1. I see multiple vendors and some beautiful light fixtures/lanterns with intricate designs, magnets, and bags.
2. They are selling their creations (or someone else's). They are probably doing it for work or because they genuinely want to share their creations, or both.
3. I have never sold anything at a street market myself but I go to farmers markets often at home.
4. This picture reminds me of when I was backpacking through Europe this summer. I was able to experience many diverse cultures by going to the street markets. Most of my favorite items or memories were from different street markets across Europe.
5. This picture makes me feel really joyful. I love art and seeing how people express their creativity and culture. I wish I could go to this street market and bring some of those lanterns home!

The Wedding

1) What do you see in this picture?

There is a bride and groom running towards the camera. Their friends and family gather around them to send them off.
All the people are throwing what looks like rice.
there are several kids
everyone is dressed very nice for the event and the bride is carrying some flowers.

2) What are they doing? It is a wedding send off. The people in the photo are celebrating the bride and groom.

3) Have you ever done this? Yes! Several of my siblings have gotten married and I have been to many weddings.

4) Does this picture remind you of anything? I love wedding send off's, it is a time of joy and celebration! One of my favorite send off's was at a friend's wedding and they decided to get real creature and use smoke bombs (the colored ones) and it was terribly smoky but the photos turned out great!

5) How does this picture make you feel? Happy and nostalgic. It brings back many memories, some happy and some bittersweet. It also gives me a dreamy warm sensation, because the picture is so romantic and joyful!

In this picture I see friends of mine enjoying lawn games on a late summer evening. I see people clustered in groups, talking with one another, and playing spikeball. Some people are looking at the camera, while others are not, and most people appear to be having a good time. I have done this before, since I was at the event and love playing spikeball with friends when I have the opportunity. This makes me happy, knowing that this was a campus ministry gathering. People are together to make new friends at the beginning of the school year. This picture also reminds me of my freshman year of college when I became involved in the campus ministry and went to a backyard gathering.

I see tall buildings, shops, advertisements, and people.

There are people walking, riding motorcycles, browsing shops, and selling things.

I have been on streets like this, and I definitely do walk and buy things. However, I have never ridden a motorcycle.

This picture reminds me of my time in Rome, especially the flagstones that make up the street.

This picture makes me feel nostalgic of my time spent in other countries, and happy to see people going about their lives. It is also a bit depressing seeing all these people living in a place with so little sunlight.

I see a lot of happy people at the zoo, some animals (including pinging... they shouldn't be there, yes? it looks like a hot weather). We have a lot of things going on here... the monkey is giving food to the seal, a veterinary is helping the elephant, the turtle need to worry for his meeting (he got some ride with the doctor).. I went to the zoo I think 2 times in my whole life, I am planning to take my kids to the zoo, they never went.. probably they will have a lot of fun.. This picture remind me moments together with friends and family. I can feel joy, it looks like even the elephant that got some help is happy, it is a lot of children's and interaction, eye-connections, etc.
