Ambedkar viewed the Constitution as a source of social transformation. Rau saw it as way to discipline Indian politics to focus on governance, rather than as an endorsement of any political ideology. Despite their differing constitutional visions, both played significant roles in the making of the Indian Constitution. The day is celebrated to promote Constitution values among citizens. It is celebrated as a mark of tribute to India's first Law Minister BR Ambedkar, who played a pivotal role in drafting the Indian Constitution.

    Right to Education and Culture:The Cultural and Educational rights, given in Articles 29 and 30, are measures to protect the rights of cultural, linguistic and religious minorities, by enabling them to conserve their heritage and protecting them against discrimination.
