I mostly use padlet, but here I got many new ideas to integrate many more tools in my lessons. In the context of diverse classes and blended learning it is important, that the students have the possibility to learn at their own pace. So they must get the chance to get all the informations they need to solve a problem using fifferent sources and tools. During the problem solving process the used tools must offer a possibility to communicate and cooperate and create a solution in teams.

The kind of the general skills students should acquire when working with digital tools (in or out of classroom) are perfectly described by the 4C’s:

- Communication: Even if digital tools do not always involve communication on a large scale, a pedagogically, well structed tool must encourage students’ exchange of information, thoughts, ideas, emotions, good practices, all necessary for student’s mental, social, academic and emotional maturing.

- Collaboration: When working together, people (and students) often have access to greater resources, enjoy recognition and much more rewards, because they share the benefits of accomplishing an outcome by overarching the individual weaknesses.

- Critical Thinking: This is one of the main pursuits of education. It is achieved in the school context but is transferred and “inherited” to all the sectors of human activity, because it is embedded to the overall human behavior and action

- Creativity: Most of the digital tools have creativity in their “declaration of intent” and in their core design. If properly guided and supported by their teachers, students’ creativity could be transformed in an everyday attractive, flexible, imaginative and educative activity.

As, every productive and profitable educational activity starts and depends on the unobstructed and constructive communication, the tools that provide and ensure them are the most crucial for me. So, different kind of Walls and Announcement Tables are my favorite. I prefer the official Walls of the Official Platforms we use in Greek Εducational System (e-class and e-me). They are secure, being provided for free to all the students.

Students learn to work collaboratively, they learn to listen to their pairs, to take turns, to offer solutions, to accept and respect differences, to control their emotions.

Do you have a favourite tool that you like to work with? Which one is it and why?
Not particularly. I prefer that students (I work with teens) suggest the tools they know best and like, that way the activity runs smoothly and they can help each other and enjoy the time they spend working together.

I think most important digital skills for students are 4C's (creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, communication), problem solving, cybercecurity, information and media literacy, etc. We learn and develop these together. I teach students from 15 to 18 years of age. At every lesson, I give them the opportunity to choose the digital tool they want to work with. This makes lessons less problematic. Students are more motivated. They learn to make decisions and take responsibility.
