"Branch out! Have fun! Be fearless!" That would be the best advice that I could give my 10-year-old self. Growing up, I was a lively girl but I was always afraid to try new things because I thought my abilties and talents were not enough. As of now, I learned that if I was fearless right from the beginning, then I would've already tried and discovered a lot of things that I actually love. Even until now, i would tell myself to be fearless.

Ever since I was in my 10-year old self, I am a shy kind person and had trouble making eye contact with others, and never spoke up about anything. So, the advice I would give to my 10-year old self is that have confidence in yourself and speak up. Do not mind other people's opinions and validations for your own success and happiness, but love and respect yourself without worrying if you are cool and good enough. I would also tell myself to be kind and compassionate enough, even when facing challenges and judgment. In life, everything changes, and nothing stays the same. There may be a lot of hurdles, walls, and pitfalls, and that is OKAY. Remember that those experiences will make you stronger, more tenacious and those tribulations are not at all insurmountable. Be patient, curious, and brave. Listen to your heart, it knows the right path. And most importantly, stay focused and believe in yourself. :))

I had such a great childhood growing up with my cousins and the love of my grandparents. If there's one thing I'd tell my younger self, it's to not worry too much and live in the moment. I'd tell her that I became someone she can be proud of; and someone my parents are proud of. That she should start looking at herself a little better and not worry too much about the future. Lastly, I'd tell her to hug Lolo for me and appreciate him more because that's something I failed to do. That she should cherish each moment with him because he won't be with us long enough.

First and foremost, the advice I would give to my 10-year old self is stated in this letter, so here it goes:

Hi 10-year old Kathleen, I am proud of what you’ve become. You’re probably not very aware of the world yet but I want you to kindly slow things down and don’t rush things. You have your entire life to become whatever you want so now, I want you to play more and enjoy your days as a 10-year old kid. Have more fun because one day, you’ll realize how hard life is and you’ll regret why you didn’t play as much as you can when you’ll get older. Don’t rush with puberty or into wearing makeup but enjoy being a little innocent girl. Moreover, I want you to please be mindful and be ready for the things that are coming on your way. Always remember that these things are not only good but some challenges will help you learn your lessons and mold you to become a better person. So do not ignore these instead, welcome them. Surround yourself with people who make you happy, inspire you, and support you in things you want to do. I would advise you not to be shy, be confident with yourself, and just say “yes” to every opportunity that comes your way because this will greatly help you soon. Save your money, eat what you want, and dance until your body can’t move. Please believe in yourself and seek opportunities especially when they are outside of your comfort zone. Lastly, my advice is to enjoy life and don’t let your studies stress you because you’ll get many of it as you’ll become older.

Since I'm already 32 and I don't have a picture of me in my device when I was 10. Ill just give an advice to my 10 year old self, and to everyone who is younger than me. Based on my experience in life when I was that age. And I hope whoever can read these can also relate. "Live for the experience, not the material things" why? because what you've learned when you were this age, will always play a great part of your life. From simple doing things like, house hold chores, self care, talent and study habits, spiritual lifestyle. And also always choose your group of friends and always listen to your parents advice since parents knows best, and lastly always have that attitude to tell your parents of what you feel and what are you are feeling, do not hide anything to your parents, because it will lead to problem in the future and you will get used to hiding things or problem, and its not healthy.
