Truly, my parents think its funny but hate it when I save every single jar made of glass or switch things to our recycling bag. My reasoninb for wanting to be vegan (and also herbal as in little to no reliance on medication) is mostly personal. I feel that green eating and living is the best way to produce a happy body and life. I have personally taken note of how I feel after eating specific foods or meals and feel better about myself in my own eyes when I know I am treating my body well. Veganism and a natural life is the ultimate goal. I learned young that my family was either from Ireland or Scotland, my grandfather didn't know which. So we chose. And we chose Irish. But later, my dad recently found out we were from a family of Scotsman who lived in Ireland, a family of free slaves and noble masters. Throughout my life, I have always been interested in Irish, Celtic (Keltic) and Viking history, it has always caught my eye. And I respect it greatly. It would be an honor to visit and see such an important part of my family's history besides our simple ethnic origin (Nigerian by the way). A specific type of yoga, though, is the one I really like; I don't like yoga that's super spiritual or earthy. I like yoga that is physical and relaxing, yoga that's focused on the person's well-being, not their connection with their inner eye or mother earth, no. I like in-the-moment, real right now motions with the kinesiology behind it. On top of this, I plan on having a prayer & meditation room in my house. Growing up, we have family who have prayer closets or rooms, some with just a simple area in their house they keep clear, clean and quiet. I want that, just on a bigger level.
With this, I am also very herbal (not marijuana, Mrs. Ebel, don't worry), and will easily turn to chamomile tea with honey over acetominophen every day, well, most days. I don't like taking pills, I can down 'em like a boss, even without water, that's not the point. But I don't know what's in it or how it affects my body in the long term. Plus, big pharma can suck it, I will tough out what I can and use PREVENTATIVE remedies like a real thug instead of popping pills for minor, natural processes of life. I have a lot of essential oils at home as well.

But I do believe in vaccinating your kids as it is preemptive and dangerous if you don't do so for countless other families. I have a dream which is more recent and not entirely formed yet, but the idea exists to be involved in prison ministry. I have a tendency to focus on the good in people and would love to offer connection and relationship to people who are deprived of such, especially in depth or substance. The prison system is incredibly flawed, almost as much as the education system (AYO) and I feel that I have a place there, a place to impact and influence, a place to cause change. This would not be my direct career path, more so volunteer work. I am, actively, going to Palomar Community College and then transferring after two years to a Cal State University on my father's CalVet program which grants me free tuition. I do not plan on having any serious debt at the beginning of my adult life and would like to be completely debt free by 45 years old, mortgage included by 55.
