1. What prevented me from getting a higher grade?
- Lack in explanations and examples.
- Lack in language use
- Missing one disadvantage paragraph
- The examples given were not that strong
- I wrote too much information in the first paragraph.

2. What can I do to do better?
- I can read more stories to get the idea on how to write with clear vocabulary and improve on my language
- I can write more discursive essays as practice.
- Read up more and improve on my vocabulary.
- Memorise the structure on how to write and practice based on them.

3. How do I feel about my first grade for English?
My feelings on my first grade in English is that I am disappointed as I expected more. I realised that the mistakes I made were due to the lack of practice and due tho my lack of vocabulary knowledge. I was very disappointed in myself with a 16 out of 30, as I expected more than a just pass but this also helped me get to know about the places I lack in and gave me the determination to improve more on my English writing skills. I may prefer narrative writing over discursive writing but I should get my basics right first and get a better understanding on the concept of discursive writing. This also made me realise how reading up is important and that I should start on by improving my language and basics, such as using the right vocabulary. This also made me realise that the examples I gave in the essay was very weak as the explanation was also not as visible. As my first ever discursive essay, I feel like I learnt from my mistakes and this made me understand better where I went wrong and allows me to improve on my next discursive essay.

March Holiday

During the march holidays, I did not do much other than coming back to school for CCA and getting my SFA (Standard First Aid) certificate. It was kind of fun but at the same time tiring and very stressful. It was tiring as we had to practice CPR (Cardiopulmonary resuscitation) and there was a test on it too. We had to do it for two minutes straight which also caused my hand to be swollen for up to 4 days.
Other than that, in my holiday, I started on my revision and completed all my homework. Which is also why I didn’t get the time to take up a new interest.

No, I would not like to pick up an extreme sport, because firstly it is deadly, secondly, I am a person who is scared of many things. I would not like to risk my life for something that is very adventurous for a person like me who is scared of many things. Some extreme sports that are very dangerous can be the cave diving and skydiving

When I was about 9 years old, my parents bought me a bicycle. I was super scared when I first saw it because i was scared of falling. I used to practice regularly every evening. Despite the practice I remember falling hard to the ground. But I showed resilience and kept on going on until I can finally ride a bicycle.
(I haven’t rode on a bike for 4 years)
