The Riace Bronzes are two bronze statues of Greek origin dating back to the 5th century BC. received in exceptional state of conservation.
The two statues - found on 16 August 1972 near Riace Marina, in the province of Reggio Calabria - are considered among the most significant sculptural masterpieces of Greek art, and among the direct testimonies of the great master sculptors of the classical age. The hypotheses on the origin and authors of the statues are different, but there are still no elements that allow the works to be attributed with certainty to a specific sculptor.
The Bronzes are located in the National Museum of Reggio Calabria, the place where they were brought back on 12 December 2014, after removal and stay for three years (with related restoration works) at Palazzo Campanella, seat of the regional council of Calabria due to of the renovation works of the same museum. The Bronzes have become one of the symbols of the village itself.

If you love the sea, long sandy beaches, but also art and adventure, then Tropea is a destination you absolutely must not miss. Sometimes, the most suggestive destinations are found right in your country, Tropea is one of them.
When you visit Tropea, you cannot do without its traditional flavours. Tropea is famous for its red onions, the blue fish festival and the nduja. We suggest you take a walk in the historic center of Tropea, getting lost in the colors of the buildings, the souvenir shops and the restaurants where you can stop and taste the local delicacies. It is perched on a cliff and has noble palaces from the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. The alleys are very romantic and the viewpoint over the sea is even more so. The view of the crystal clear sea is truly breathtaking.

Copanello

For its intense blue sea from which the mountains can be admired, there is the splendid bay of Copanello which overlooks the Ionian Sea. What strikes the visitor are the natural beauties of this locality, with pine forests full of trees and vegetation, where it is possible to take long walks, cycle or jog. Also not to be missed is the main city museum, namely the Libero Gatti nature museum. Even from an artistic point of view, the works on display are truly numerous and worthy of a visit, starting with the tomb of Cassiodorus, an important senator and man of letters who lived during the Roman Empire.
One last piece of advice, for those who go to the sea near these places, is to pay a visit to these places, as in the summer with the increase in tourism, the area turns out to be one of the major evening entertainment centers with numerous pubs, open-air bars and restaurants until late at night.

Famous for its white sandy beaches and secluded bays, this city is one of the most popular coastal holiday destinations in the region. In summer, the quiet town of Soverato is filled with tourists who flock to enjoy its splendid sea.
The town is located on a hill that slopes down to the sea, and precisely in the southern part of the Gulf of Squillace, defined by many for its scenic and cultural beauty as "the pearl of the Ionian Sea". As regards the visit, it is first of all recommended to go to the nearby Mother Church which houses a statue of the Pietà by Antonello Gagini. While nearby on a nearby hill, you can visit the ancient ruins of the medieval village called "old Soverato", abandoned after the violent earthquake that struck southern Italy in 1783.
