this assessment can ask students whether they agree with the question given to them, or how they feel about the topic. polls can be 'show a thumbs up or thumbs down close to your chest on how well you understand ______." it can also be scanning a QR code and taking a survey after a lesson. teachers can use the feedback and accommodate the next lesson to fit their student's needs.

giving students a question at the end of the lesson will give the teacher insight into whether the students took anything from what they were taught. exit tickets can be a slip of paper with a question already made for them or an open-ended question given verbally by the instructor. by reading the student's response, the teacher will know their student's understanding of the topic.

online games such as kahoot or booklet can let the instructor know of their student's understanding. these games can be customized to fit the topic. the games can also be about any subject. kahoot, for example, has different modes such as individual or team play. not only will the students be engaged and be motivated to try their best, they will benefit the teacher by giving data after the game is done.

this involves the teacher asking students individually during the lesson. for example, "how are you feeling?" "do you need any help?" "can you tell me what you are doing here?" "explain this for me please." "how did you get that?" these questions should be asked during independent/group work, feedback should give the teacher knowledge on student's understanding.

this is similar to the 'thumbs up/down' assessment, but students will be asked to raise their hands on any three levels that fit. If their hand is all the way up, it means they feel 'hot' or excellent, halfway up is 'mild' or I kinda understand but could be better, and the lowest is 'cold' or needs to be improved/I don't understand. This feedback can be used to implement to the next lesson.
