Dimitri Ivanovich Mendeleev created the Periodic Table, for his textbooks. He sorted the elements by atomic weight and by the properties of each element. He discovered that elements are the building blocks of chemistry and that he could predict and describe any missing elements by simply looking at where the element is located on the periodic table. Today there are 118 elements, but back in his day, there were only 60 elements.

Alyson, Isabella, Sadie
