This case is an example of primary staging. The husband killed the wife during a fight and covered it up to make it look like a suicide. The husband put her in the bath with a bottle of half empty pills, and drowned her. He told the police he found her and tried mouth to mouth, but after finding proof of petechial hemorrhages and bruising on the neck, the police knew it hadn't been a suicide and the husband confessed.

This is a great example of Primary Adhoc staging. In this case since the girlfriend was scared of her parents finding out she was pregnant from the boyfriend, they decided to stage a rape by having her have intercourse with another man in order to get his physical evidence on her. They also had the boyfriend drag her through grass and burned her with cigarettes to show that they had kidnapped and tortured her. Although their were some of these signs of torture, there is no mention of proof of a struggle or proof of a violent rape such as bruises, like she had said happened.
