         <description><![CDATA[<ol><li>Teachers will provide students with cardboard boxes of varying sizes.</li><li>Students will write down character traits of their peers.</li><li>Teacher will provide students with their character traits.</li><li>Students will write their own character traits.</li><li>Students will place their own character traits in the smallest box, wrap it, and place it inside the next box.</li><li>Students will place one character trait from a peer in the next box and so on until they have  five boxes wrapped as one unit.</li><li>Students will begin to open the boxes.</li><li>In the first box, they will reflect on what they learned about themselves from their first peer.  They will think about how it may connect to how others view them in the classroom.</li><li>In the second box, they will identify which traits they would like to explore further and think about ways they are significant to changing or upholding behavior.</li><li>In the third box, they will explore ways in which they can understand why their peers view them in a certain way.</li><li>In the forth box, they will write down ways in which they could change their behavior and act on what they learned.</li><li>In the fifth box, they will compare their peers descriptions to their own.</li><li>This activity will help students understand how their own character traits and actions contribute to the events and culture of the classroom.</li></ol><div><br>(Adapted from Pass the Parcel thinking routine)</div>]]></description>
