         <title>Rifles in the War</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Rifles used by both Allied and Axis powers were the M1 Garand and the Lee Enfield. Although, The M1 Garand was a standard United States infantry rifle, many powers also used it. The M1 Garand was chambered in a .30 caliber. As of th Lee Enfield, this rifle was a standard for Britain. This rifle was chambered in a .303 caliber. These rifles were often equipped with bayonets for close quarter combat.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Although many anti-personnel explosives were used in WW2, there are 2 very notorious grenades that were used. The Mk2 hand grenade was a "pineapple" grenade which was used mainly by the United States. Also, the Stielhandgranate was a German main. It was also known as a "stick grenade." </div>]]></description>

         <title>Tanks in War</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Tanks were a big part of World War 2. This helped the powers wipe out large infantry forces and heavy armored vehicles such as anti aircraft and air planes used in the war. Even though both powers had several designs of armored tanks, they were both known for a particular tank. America, was most known for the M4 Sherman tank and the M1 Abrams. Germany, was most know for the Panzer and the Tiger tank. </div>]]></description>

         <title>Adolf Hitler</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Nazi leader Adolf Hitler rose to power in the National Socialist German Working Party after WWI. Hitler was arrested and put in jail. During his time locked up, he wrote "Mein Kampf" or My Struggle. Hitler always blamed the Jews for the economic problems. Therefore, he began the Holocaust. During WW2, Adolf created his own war tactic, called the blitzkrieg. This was highly affective and later resulted in the control of western and eastern Europe. Hitler committed suicide a week after The Battle of Normandy ended, or D-Day</div>]]></description>

Eisenhower graduated Military Academy in 1915. He had amazing military strategy skills and talent for organization. Eisenhower became president of the United States on January 20th 1953.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Pearl Harbor was the attack on the United States naval base in Hawaii. The attack was set out by Japan on December 7th 1941. On this day, 6 aircraft carriers, 2 battleships, and dozens of warships were either destroyed or sunken. 2,403 Americans were killed and 85% of the fleet was destroyed. This later began the war between Japan and the United States.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Battle of Britain began on July 10th 1940. This began after the Fall of France. It consisted of "The Blitz" which was night and day raids on the city of London. During this battle, The Royal Air Force held off the German attackers. As Adolf Hitler was in power, he decided not to finish off the Britains in this battle. That was Hitler's first mistake.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>As women could not register for the military until later down the road, they had to become personnel back home. Many women worked in factories, making weapons, ammunition, and many supplies for the soldiers fighting in the war. As they were later able to register for the military, they were not allowed to fight in combat. Women often served as airplanes flyers carrying soldiers from place to place. They were also nurses, healing the wounded as they were brought in from the battlefield.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>As soldiers were often wounded during battle, they were given treatment by the nurses. These nurses often used certain medicines for certain procedures. One of which was the most known. Morphine, was a medicine given to soldiers through a syrette that gave them an instance of relief. Although this medicine may seem useful, it often caused addiction and "morphine poisoning." Often doing more harm than good. </div>]]></description>

This battle took place on June 6, 1944. This resulted in the Allied liberation of Western Europe from Nazi Germany's control. This caused Adolf Hitler, Nazi Germany's leader, to commit suicide a week later.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Holocaust is an event that shall never be forgotten in the history of war. The Holocaust, was the mass murder done by Nazi Germany's leader, Adolf Hitler. As not all of the victims were Jews, over 6 million victims were. These victims would be placed in concentration camps all along the Nazi Germany territory where they were tortured. Prisoners were starved to death, worked to death, also placed in chambers where they were gassed with poison. This took place during WWII in Europe between 1933 and 1945</div>]]></description>
