Lizzie Borden was a 32 year old women. She was declared innocent for the brutal murders of her step-mother and her father, their names were Andrew and Abby Borden. They had a maid who was an Irish immigrant named Bridget Sullivan. Lizzie also had a older sister named Emma, the day the murder scene happened she was out of town. Everything just pointed at her, she is the one who looked guilty of the murders.

To back up my theory that Lizzie killed her parents for more luxurious things because her dad didn't like to spend lots of money and Lizzie's wanted more of a luxurious life but her father didn't want that, he was a cheap person which could be a reason why she wanted him dead so she could get his money.

Another reason to back up my theory is because after the death of her father she moved up to the hills and bought a new house, this shows that what she wanted was the money.

Another reason why I believe she killed him is because she didn't really care that he died, she was calm and relaxed as is she didn't care...

An alternate theory would be that the maid, Bridget, killed the step-mother and the father. This could've happened but the maid wouldn't get anything from it, she would've had no good reason to kill them. The only thing the maid Bridget could've got if she killed them, she would've gone to jail and Bridget wouldn't want that.

Although many have had various different theories, here's why my theory is correct. My theory is correct because, one of the first things Lizzie Borden did after her parents death was she bought a house in the hills, somewhere where she had always wanted to live. It was as if she just didn't care about her parents, she just wanted to get her dad's wealth.

Something I learned from this historical event and till this day mysterious murder is that people shouldn't assumer what others can do based off of their gender. A reason why an investigation like this is important because if the murderer truly was Lizzie Borden they could've made her deal with her consequences instead of letting her go because no one thought a woman could do such a thing.
