Example: Science, Technology, and Society (STS) is an interdisciplinary field that explores how scientific discoveries and technological innovations impact social, cultural, and political life—and vice versa. It emphasizes the idea that science and technology are not isolated, but shaped by and shaping human values, needs, and decisions.

We have chosen humanity, as it represents us as a whole. Our emotions, knowledge, war, and forgiveness fall under the massive philosophical umbrella known as humanity. But in search of humanity, we ironically hurt others along the way, for example, we go to war for as we have different ideals on how humanity shall go advance and go further in the future. And yet we persevere, as we as humanity use our well... Humanity to advance in this complicated world known as life.

We chose “The Scientific Dogma” because it represents the widely accepted principles in science that guide learning and discovery. It shows how science is built on strong evidence and experiments that become the foundation of knowledge. We also picked this term because it reminds us that science is open to change when new discoveries are found.

Based from the excerpt the ideal of progress is all about how we believe that humanity has the ability to make solutions about certain problems through science and innovation. These problems primarily include poverty which is divided into social and biological poverty. As it is presented, poverty does not entirely mean lack of wealth but rather about deprivation. May it be of survival needs which is biological poverty or opportunities and equality which is called  social poverty. Furthermore, poverty is inclined with traditions, religious beliefs and ignorance which holds back the progress of science discoveries. Being in the marginalized also means that an individual is deprived of access to information.

Myths help people work together by providing shared beliefs. Whether ancient, religious, or modern ideologies, they reflect humanity’s perception of and response to societal struggles, offering guidance and meaning during confusing times. However, myths are not always based on truth; they rely on beliefs or traditions that often lack factual evidence. Because of this, they can be used to control people, justify inequality, and even cause conflicts, showing that while myths unify, they can also mislead and divide.
