         <description><![CDATA[<p>There are many kinds of scams and dark patterns, but this review will focus on two of each, known as Identity Cloning and Roach Motel.</p><p><br/></p><ul><li><p>Identity cloning: replication of various personal details, such as a person's name, Social Security number, address, and other pertinent information, to create a false persona.</p></li><li><p>Roach Motel: a design in which a user easily gets into a situation but can not get out. In most cases, this pattern leads to an unnecessary purchase or subscription to a newsletter which is extremely hard to unsubscribe.</p><p><br/></p></li></ul>]]></description>

Here are some real-life examples of Identity Cloning:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Synthetic identity, which is making accounts using your personal information combined with fake info as well</p></li><li><p>identity camouflage, which is when a scammer impersonates your life to make the account seem real</p></li><li><p>Geographic relocation, which is when an identity clone relocates to a different country to avoid suspicion</p></li></ul><p><strong>How to avoid Identity cloning- </strong></p><ul><li><p>Monitor credit</p></li><li><p>use strong passwords</p></li><li><p>shred documents</p></li><li><p>secure personal information</p></li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Learned new skills to be aware of scams, such as creating strong passwords and staying informed about common scams currently. Sometimes it can be hard to make strong passwords, due to people mainly using the same variation of one, to help remember it. I think teenagers are unaware of scams and dark patterns because they are new to the consumer world, and don't expect common popular companies to prey on their customers</p>]]></description>
