Follow up activities or ideas that parents can do at home to improve children's learning - consistency and reinforcement in school and at home.

e.g., give the parent a survey through the portfolio and find out which area is a concern for them, provide meaningful activities for the parents to reinforce the learning at home, review the portfolio with the child and write a comment or words of encouragement for child to read and reflect upon

i will usually take photos of children engaged in the activity (not only for weekly update but also for my own record. it's tough remembering all details for double classes!)

about half the time, i will call children up one by one to participate in the activity of the day, ensuring all children had the chance to participate
