         <title>Fostering Support of Mathematics Learning in Multilingual Classrooms (Pre-K-12)</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Funded by <a href="http://www.todos-math.org/">TODOS</a> and NCTM<br><br></div><div>&nbsp;<br><br></div><div>This NCTM grant program is designed to fund PD learning experiences that foster multi-language development when teaching math. To be eligible, schools must work with a consultant to develop curriculum or purchase existing materials for PD with educators.&nbsp;<br><br></div><div>&nbsp;<br><br></div><div>Deadline: November 30, 2017<br><br></div><div>Interested schools are invited to submit a proposal. The 2017-2018 MET-TODOS Proposal Cover Form must be completed and serve as the top page of each copy of the proposal. The proposal must be typewritten, double-spaced and single-sided (please organize as outlined below), with margins of at least one inch on 8.5" x 11" paper. Font size must be no smaller than 12-point Times Roman and the width between characters should be normal (100%). The proposal is to be submitted electronically to <a href="http://www.nctm.org/Grants-and-Awards/Grants/Fostering-Support-of-Mathematics-Learning-in-Multilingual-Classrooms-(Pre-K-12)/met-todosgrant@todos-math.org">met-todosgrant@todos-math.org</a> by 11:59PM PST on <strong>November 30, 2017</strong>. <strong>No mailed or faxed copies will be accepted.&nbsp; Duplicate or revised applications will not be considered.&nbsp; No Indirect costs.<br></strong><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Funded By: Different donors&nbsp;<br><br>This site can be used to recieve funding for many different projects to help your class become more multicultural. For example, if you lack diverse literacy you can create a DonorsChoose to raise money to update and build your classroom library.&nbsp;<br><br>The dollar amount will vary based on your project and your needs for your classroom.&nbsp;<br><br>In order to create a DonorsChoose, you must create an account. Once you have created an account, you fill out the information about your project and you set your own goal and deadline. </div>]]></description>

         <title>The School of Life Project-Developing Emotional Awareness</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Funded by: The School of Life<br>Grant Award: $500-$3000<br><br>This grant program uses technology and journalism to build emotional I.Q. and self-awareness of students. Every year, students record a 30 minute video journal of themselves on a Storycatcher iPad Kiosk. Students participate by answering question in an age-specific interviews.&nbsp; The video is then recorded onto iCloud.&nbsp; During the interview, if any time the questions raise feelings and the student would like to talk to someone, they can push a button to bring in a counselor. &nbsp;<br>In the final year, the student is given video clips of themselves, forming a 'time capsule' that they can securely watch and share with family and others - if they choose to do so.<br><br>Simply fill out the contact form and the company will be in touch with the teacher or administrator from your school.<br><br><br>Deadline: No deadline, on going open grant<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Funded by: Steelcase<br><br>This grant provides all new furniture for a 6-12 classroom, that promotes active learning. The furniture is conducive for collaboration, demonstrations, and promotes listening, and active thinking. &nbsp;<br><br>The value of the grant is estimated at $65,000.<br><br>At this time the deadline has ended.  However, if you visit their website and signup for updates, you will be notified when the grant reopens.</div>]]></description>

Grant funding is provided to assist in the following areas:</div><ul><li>Implementing new or expanding existing literacy programs</li><li>Purchasing new technology or equipment to support literacy initiatives</li><li>Purchasing books, materials or software for literacy programs</li></ul><div><br>Grant Award up to $4000 for technology, books, and programming to help struggling readers.<strong><br></strong><br></div><div><br>Youth Literacy Grants provide funding to schools, public libraries, and nonprofit organizations to help students who are below grade level or experiencing difficulty reading. Grant funding is provided to assist in the following areas:</div><ul><li>Implementing new or expanding existing literacy programs</li><li>Purchasing new technology or equipment to support literacy initiatives</li><li>Purchasing books, materials or software for literacy programs</li></ul><div><br></div><div>The 2018 Youth Literacy grant applications will be available January 2018.</div><div><br><br></div>]]></description>
