A popular therapeutic model, especially within pediatric settings, is an approach including sensory exploration and integration. When I was in middle school and through high school, my best friend and I— who went to different schools— loved to meet at our local park after particularly challenging days to swing and talk about our days. While in college, another friend and I loved to go for runs and found we had such meaningful talks while doing so.
