Idaho's Department of Education website contains many diverse resources to help a varierty of student needs. Bullying, gender equality, special needs assistance, suicide awareness and prevention, civics, college preparation, health, transportation, and even technology access.
Even lesser discussed topics like school choice where parents and students can pick and choose the school they feel meets their needs the most. This is a specific subject that appeals to me as I think choice and school competition is a great way to increase educational outcomes.

Unfortunately, while the mission, vision and values are all commendable and fulfill its purpose, nothing really strikes or jumps out to meeting the needs of diverse learners. Though at the same time, it doesn't exclude the needs.
They are general, fair and broad statements.

From their school page, the only aspect that appears to tackle diverse needs comes from:
A collection of student's stories ranging from many backgrounds, SAFE (Student aid for Emergencies with translations in English, Spanish, Arabic, and Swahili), free or reduced price meals, and a number of after school activities and clubs such as- Gay & Straight Alliance, Music, Reading Club, Cheerleading and even resources for concussion and head trauma.

Fairmont clearly approaches their mission from a neutral and broad perspective. There is no doubt that the administration and teachers seek to provide the best possible outcomes and opportunities for their students. I was impressed that they offered diverse language translations such as Arabic and Swahili. However, and this may be due to lack of resources, more programs and awareness towards important topics like: Suicide, racial and gender equality, and special needs would be greatly appreciated and commended. This doesn't have to be necessarily reflected in their missions and vision, but through programs and resources noted through their website.
