Ain't we got fun was a very popular song in 121 and really represented the social change and economic change going on during the time. Fitzgerald uses this particular song in chapter five at the part when daisy is seeing Gatsby's house for the first time. Gatsby is excited for daisy to be there so this song makes the mood energetic and positive. This song really represent the social differences of the rich and poor. The rick are really are given more freedom to do whatever they want while the poor are restricted to more responsibility. Gatsby was very wealthy and had no responsibility but Daisy had a daughter and a family but despite those things she was at Gatsby's house as if she has zero responsibility. The rich played by their own rules.

Music is very significant to the novel because where Fitzgerald places these lyrics symbolizes the mood of the moment. Doing research on these songs really helped better understand why he put these songs in the places they are and how the support the context around it. MUsic represents some of the feelings or emotions of the character the song is affecting.

This song is about kids that just want to be rich and party. I chose this song because it really represents the carefree, no responsibility attitude. This song refelcts the mood of the same part where Ain't we got fun was located. It still signifies that the rich have less responsibility and carefree attitudes.

The lyrics that Fitzgerald uses in the novel for this particular song make it seem kind of creepy, but as you continue to listen to the song you learn that it is about the love. The part in the novel where this song is used is when Jordan finally finds out about Daisy and Gatsby and is telling Nick all about it. She tells him how strange of coincidence it was. This song plays perfect into that part because it is only the beginning of the reunion between Daisy and Gatsby. They were meant for each other and they both new it a long time ago and this song symbolizes Gatsby's attempt to win her back.

This song is about the equivalence of the sheik of araby because of how she believes that a specific person belongs to her. Like in a way they were meant to be but the other person does not quite know t yet. Its like Gatsby knows him and daisy should be together and belong together. But Daisy is unsure and already has another life of her own without gatsby but she still loves him.

This song was used to symbolize the longing love they had for each other. Daisy was leaving Gatsbys party but then this song was played as she was heading out and she feels as if she needs to go back inside. Gatsby then tells Nick once the party has somewhat died down that he would do anything to win back Daisy and he feels like he failed. Gatsby says to Nick, "I feel far away from her...It's hard to make her understand" (page 109) The slow tempo and dramatic instrument playing in this song really reflect on the feelings of both Daisy an Gatsby. The mood is sad and longing They both want each other but they both don't know how to accomplish it.

This song tells about two people struggling with their love. The lyrics are sad and hopeful to make love work again and fix the problems within the relationship. This song can relate to Three O'Clock in the Morning in the Great Gatsby because just like daisy and gatsby these people have things standing in the way of their love. Daisy And Gatsby want to be together again and this song very much could reflect that.
