In the first painting named flying figure No.2 a series of colors is presented. There is no significant meaning ever specified by Stanton McDonald Wright. Many of his paintings consisted of vibrant colors, some with specific shapes and landforms, and some that are completely abstract. Specifically, this painting here is considered an abstract painting. this piece of art is from the era of American modernism.. I specifically chose this oil painting because it’s stuck out from the rest of the time of the specific art movement due to its abstract and dated technique. It somewhat began the tie between my exhibition due to its colors, Enhanced vibrancy, unique shape, and soft lines well including somewhat harsh ones. It specifically relates to both other paintings because they have each characteristic in common. as well as a limited backstory, but each artist had consisted of the same theme of each other paintings throughout their time being. This painting to this day is sold around $60,000-$80,000 in the US., with the price increasing in other countries due to the passing of this talented artist. I felt the need to include this detail because each of these paintings are out of extreme value and incredibly hard to find due to the limited amount of copies just like the other two paintings. All three of these paintings share, not only vibrancy, but such unique pattern that it was incredibly difficult to copy and other paintings due to their unique techniques used..

In the second painting, the funeral, after some digging, the specific meaning behind this painting is to protest against a humanity that had completely lost its mind. The colors and included in this painting, and the undefined shapes have created this meaning that I feel the public would not have guessed. I got the sense of somewhat some chaos and perhaps the city, but the message of dehumanizing the things around you ironically tie into the two other paintings. this is because the other painting provided that I had stated in the beginning of flying figure how to no distinct meaning, but the other painting surrounding it and being in its time had also surrounded the characteristics of bright personalities and humans. this ties into the other painting as well on the right because of humanity and Christ and life and death. Paintings only difference between the other two are the harsher lines, present and many more compared to the other two but still have the same and similar message of personality and energy surrounding you.

In the third painting of the lamination over the dead Christ it’s tied into American society and unhappiness. This ties into the other two paintings due to the presence of its vibrant colors, strange surrounding shapes and emotion. It’s much influenced by the portrayed system we have surrounding Black Lives Matter. this ties into the American art and how America perceives things today due to skin color. this painting was created right around when racism was at an all-time high and shows nothing but a peaceful man laying down trying to rest his mind in the middle of chaos. this painting significantly ties into the other two due to its present motion, and as I stated before, the undefined shapes and amazing use of vibrancy and color.
