I completed a 6-week summer internship with Aviva Investors before my final year of University. 
This was organised in partnership with upReach, a social mobility charity that helps students from lower socio-economic backgrounds to realise their career goals.

I rotated between their Financial Planning & Analysis and Emerging Market Credit teams.

This internship involved working mainly on Microsoft Excel - I was responsible for building financial models that projected the profitability of all of the revenue lines of the business, 3 years into the future. My work was used in the annual earnings report, in which the CEO and CFO of Aviva presented their annual performance figures and future projections to sales analysts from a number of major investment banks. 

During the last week of this programme, I helped to plan and produce a video on Aviva's efforts towards climate change, that would be shared on their French social media channels.

Additionally, as part of a team, I delivered a presentation on the topic of 'Losses from Online Activity' to the senior management of Aviva. We decided to work with the idea of offering insurance (online data protection) services to social media influencers.

They have assisted me with my career planning and professional development.

I was awarded the 'Banking & Finance Springboard Star' award at the 2018 Associate awards, held at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in London. 

Additionally , I was grateful to be shortlisted for the 2018 Student Social Mobility awards, held at the House of Lords.  I was nominated in recognition of my outstanding achievment and engagement with upReach during my time at university. 

I have many friends and connections through upReach, and since being an associate, my passion for social mobility has increased greatly.

I was also the sole senior analyst for the Consumer & Retail sector.

My responsibilities included appraising stock pitches from the junior analysts, providing feedback, and delivering presentations on various financial topics.

This was a very memorable time and one in which I collaborated with people from diverse and global backgrounds, to achieve a common-goal.
