This was my favorite elective this term i had a lot of fun with this first topic the cube where we started our drawing off with a random cube and making it into a detailed artwork . then for the second topic it was about abstract Dubai skyline , it was fun as we broke down the skyline or specific structures into shapes and ideas and then painting with acrylic over it keeping realism while being abstract . have not gotten grade for this term .

Computer science

This term for computer science was significantly deferent compared to last year. in the beginning of the year we were learning about computer safter our digital footprint and privacy however after the spring break we began shifting to SDG goals , although this did relate to what was happening in the country right now this is not an msc lesson its computer science . next term i would like to see more coding or robotics or web software , in general more relating to computer science. however it wasnt all bad because we had a nice teacher who made the classes slightly more fun

This term i got 44 class charts which is pretty good , i managed to get a soft ball with the points , i want to get 75 by next term and to be able to save up to the wireless charger alarm clock by the end of the year

Maths

This year for math we learnt a lot of new things , such as imaginary numbers , surface area of 3d shapes , area of cylinders , area of compound 3d shapes and much more . The classes were fun because we would occasionally do games such as sheriff and the buzzer game (all relating to math) that made math that much more enjoyable . We progressed fast through the year and i was able to keep up to the standers of the class . I got a 49/58 in the math's assessment which was above average for my class and the year group . In the end of the term i got a mastery

Drama

i did not really enjoy drama as much as I did last year . im fairly sure that it was becasue of the topic that we were doing and the teacher and how she taught . One reason that I didn't like this subject is that our teacher would force groups that number 1 were unfair in terms of drama level , number 2 were extremly hard to work with and number 3 did not complete their work . on top of this she refused to change the groups even after we asked and explained . I have had her 2 years in a row and this has really impacted how i feel for drama . My grade was a mastery

This terms was okay for geography . we learnt about habitats and weather which was nice and we got through the work , our teacher was ok and i scored good for my tests .We still have a group work test to complete which is about a poster of habitat of our choice . this term i got an M

History

This term in history I had a lot of fun in class we first learned about the industrial era and how people used to live during that time and then we transitioned into american revolution when we learnt the impact they had on modern life. we would occasionally do creative lessons and the teacher would always have some work for us to do in the classroom. I got an S for history

Music

This year we got lucky and got a good teacher who made the classes fun and more enjoyable. this term we had practical work and group work which was very nice . we worked in teams for our EOT test to make our own blues music which was a creative and fun task. My grade this term was an S+ .

Science

This term we did a bit of all parts of science (chemistry , physics and biology) and got a fair balance of practical work and written work which was pleasant. the teacher was strict but tried to make the class enjoyable and taught well. My grade this term was an S+ and i think that proved the amount of work i put into studying for the tests .

German , french and spanish

This term was pretty hard for me in french , it was a mixture of the work being given , how fast it was given out and how it was taught. In my opinion the things that related most to the upcoming exams were taught very late in the term leaving us less time to study such as avoir and etre congregation the (only thing we were getting quizzed about in our grammer test) was taught in class about 2 weeks before the test . I also feel like not enough revision was given for the tests which definitely impacted me , my friends and the other students grades and performance . This year i got 6/10 for my grammer , 20/24 in reading and 18/24 in listening . this can be reflected to last year where i got exceptional grades in french getting a Mastery . Whether it is the teacher and learning environment or the classwork being taught not up to standard that i expect it to so i do want a class change .

Arabic

In Arabic this year I found the topics pretty easy and I got an ATL of 1 but I found making big paragraphs hard. I think I can improve by learning more vocabulary. I think i can also practice reading because i found that a little hard too

this term I put a lot of hard work into Islamic and I got a lot of class charts from this but my atl was at 2 which reflects my hard work I did also get a Negative from this subject because of talking which I have reflected and improved on I got a mastery in the test but I'm not sure of the mark I got

PE

this term in pe we did 4 topics one being interhouse football , one for athletics , one for interhouse dodgeball and one for football . For the first block i really improved in my throwing skills and competitiveness .for athletics i improved my althletisism , skills and knowladgge of some of these olympic sport. i made a lot of progress in interhouse football and football with me being able to confidently dribble the ball , make long passes and use tactics in football . the marks are based upon 3 things the head part ( Fitness Physical ability Tactics and strategies Competition ) the heart part (Leadership Sporting attitudes (The 3 R’s - Risk taking, Resilience, Respect) Teamwork Communication ) and head (Knowledge & Understanding Analysis & Feedback Problem Solving Creativity ) . This term i got moved up a set to set 1 . this term i got s+ for my heart and head but i got a D for my hand . next term i am hoping to get all s+ i can do this by joining more after school clubs relating to sports and generally putting more effort to physical activities outside of school

reflection

before the student-led conference, I was a little worried that I didn't write enough or I wouldn't have enough time. but when we started I found it easy. I found it useful because I could reflect on all of my subjects from my point of view. I have already started to put my reflections into action

i started to do things like studying 1hr a day split into 3 20 min sessions studying 1 subject per session
