Immigration:
Denham's view on immigration isn't as traditionally Republican as you would expect, it is a combination between Democratic and Republican views. Denham wants border control to be increased to allow in less illegal immigrants. He believes that those who are already in the District should be protected from being deported have a path to citizenship. Josh has less shown less of a strong view on immigration but what he has said has pointed towards a more Democratic opinion. Similarly to Denham, Harding also supports a path to citizenship. He supports bipartisan immigration reform and does not believe that families should be separated from their children.

We believe this for many reasons, one being the recent polls that were taken as an attempt at predicting the outcome of the election. Two out of the three recent public polls show Josh Harder winning by 2 percent or more, leaving the third to a tie between Jeff Denham and Josh Harder. The residents of District 10 seem to prefer Harder’s stance over Denham. Another reason is that Josh Harder is a Democrat in a diverse Democratic District. In the past, including the 2016 presidential election, District 10 has voted Democratically. Harder is the Democratic candidate and therefore represents District 10’s majority opinion better than Denham. One might argue that the people with less knowledge about the election would be more likely to vote for Denham because he was the previous representative. In addition, Jeff Denham is more well known, and has a stronger political history than Harder. However, being known in politics is not always a good thing. It can lead to dull ideas that have been heard before but never followed up on. Although District 10 has elected Denham for many years, he is up against a new, tough opponent, who shares similar Democratic views with a majority of the district’s occupants.
