My family and I enjoy pow-wows that are in our area. Powwows are a place of healing and happiness.

In my tribe we have a Spring celebration called the Beardance which happens in June of every year.

Sport

I very much enjoy playing volleyball and have been playing for a long time. I learned to play in the 8th grade and loved it since. I still play in small leagues near our surrounding towns. I have a sister who plays basketball very well, I taught her how to play volleyball and now she plays better than me.

Grandparents

My grandparents were the sweetest people I have ever known. Growing up they took care of each other and showed love for all who entered their lives. I learned a lot from them from our traditions and cultures. The person I am today I still carry those teachings with me.

Fav Basketball Team

I love desserts, and I eat my desserts first. My favorite dessert ice creams are from Cold Stone Creamery. Banana caramel crunch and cheesecake fantasy! Yum Yum!!!

I enjoy music like 80's rock, reggae, R&B, Oldies, and relaxing piano music. As a little girl my mom would listen to her favorite songs by the Supremes. When she played it, I knew she would start to clean or cook. I grew up listening to oldies because of her.

Mother

I am mother to 3 and it has been an adventure of shedding tears, laughter, emotions, and love. I learned it comes with lots of patience and undivided attention for each child. we are not taught in high school or from our friends about parenting. We learn it and go through it as we become parents. I learned for myself as a parent, there is no clock out time. I maybe get 30 minutes at home to myself. I have a 6-year-old who is my tail once I step inside the house. I ask my kids tell me one good and one bad, meaning what was one good thing you did/like about your day and same for the bad. That's how I get them to converse with me. I am blessed to be there mother and if I could do it again...I would.
