Using descriptive language, imagery, show not tell, etc, write about someone you love.
This can be about anyone! A parent, a grandparent, a teacher, a sports coach, your best friend, your neighbor, siblings… anyone!
Consider how Patti illustrates Robert. She includes dialogue, depictions of his look, instances of humor, his internal strifes. All the things that make him human!

It is ironic that I put him here because originally I thought that I'd hate him for a long time. This was due to appointments he made to be the captain of the team, & what those people did to me. However, when I brought the issue up to him, he handled it very professionally and took action relating to the previous captain. Moving forward to now, he has become sort of like a fatherly/uncle-like figure after he decided to host these in-person practices after school with members from the boys and girls varsity teams. We do light training, & on Fridays we usually go and get to play volleyball, badminton, plus whatever else we bring the equipment to play. I have mended relations with the team, with the some of the people attending the practices (both guys and girls) becoming fairly close friends of mine in a short time (shared loneliness I guess LOL). He even played badminton with me one time, which was unusual for the sport he coached in, but nevertheless was very fun.

Me and Noah Sylvester have not always been the best of friends. There were times when he would say things that would irritate me so bad that I would consider him to be the one person on the team that I disliked. However, time had changed those feelings, and I now consider Noah to be a good friend of mine. In games, I was always there to block the other teams defenders that were looking to tackle him. One instance recently of our close friendship was when I almost ate a Popeyes chicken sandwich while I was fasting, after we took the SAT. We were talking about how we did, and suddenly, he asked me why I was buying it when I was fasting. I had completely forgotten I was not supposed to eat, but my close friend reminded me of what I was doing, and saved me from breaking my fast too early. These instances of having each other’s back is what makes me and Noah very close.

He was a very good role model, my best friend and someone who I could explain my problems too. During my younger years he understood when I needed to be alone and scorns me when I’m being overtly annoying or attention seeking.

My dad shows his love in lessons, in service. My favorite memories of being little were the days hunched over the small glass table in our living room, surrounded by a tornado of cut up pieces of paper and glue. From when I was little, he taught me everything, how to do different art projects, and how things worked, from more complex things like cameras to menial things like making coffee. He taught me the love of building things, thinking out of the box, and making something new in an unconventional way. I would spend these afternoons by the glass table watching him in awe, seeing the messy combination of random supplies and shapes almost magically come together into something wondrous only imaginable in his own mind. He made me want to do something similar on my own, venturing out of my comfort zone in hopes of impressing both him and myself. As I got older, whenever I made something I was proud of, I would rush to show him, hoping he would find it as majestic as I, and I still to this day come to him with questions about small things, curious if he has any hidden wisdom to teach me. Looking back, I would not trade these days for anything, precious moments encapsulated in our own memories and minds.

Our mutual “friend”, who neither of us were very fond of, introduced us saying “I think you’ll get along” and that we did. We’re almost opposites at times, at least on the outside. She's a narcoleptic intro-extrovert who texts nobody, posts nothing, and just draws, sleeps, and eats. Even though we seem like complete opposites, I have never found someone funnier, more agreeable and picky as me. We agree on the right things and disagree just enough. We match shoes but not tops, and we cling to each other like baby koalas, literally. I will never stop loving Elina.

One of the first people I met in this new school, and since I joined the team he’d always take the train together to and from school. He’s pushed me a lot (physically and mentally) and helped be become who I am now.
