San Juan Girón has a basically religious tourism, of pilgrims from Colombia and other countries who come to visit the Basilica Menor San Juan Bautista, where the image of the Lord of Miracles is venerated with love and faith.

The pilgrimages of these faithful are reflected in greater quantity in the month of September, when with all pomp the religious triduum (12, 13 and 14) is celebrated in honor of the Lord of Miracles.

The international airport of Palonegro, located in the village of Palonegro in the municipality of Lebrija Santander, marked a new stage of progress for the Department of Santander and its capital, the city of Bucaramanga.
To get there, from Barrio Mirador de San Juan del Municipio de Giron, you must locate at the stop that is on the pedestrian bridge and get on the tour bus Lebrija. This will leave you a few meters down near the toll and you must make a walk of about 15 minutes to reach the airport. But if you prefer, you could take a taxi along the road that leads to Lebrija and then turn right and go up a few kilometers until you reach the airport.
